Overview/Background

It is the policy of the State to promote full employment through improved manpower allocation and utilization. DOLE
provides free employment facilitation services through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) pursuant to
Republic Act (RA) 8759, otherwise known as the “Public Employment Service Office Act of 1999 and its Implementing
Rules and Regulations.

This is to further improve the delivery of front line services, as well as to ensure the efficient and effective
conduct of Job Fair with the participation of the private sector and industries through the rationalization and
establishment of standards in the requirements and procedures in securing job fair permits, as well as define the
respective roles and responsibilities of all key players involved.
